About Our Pastor
For our Pastor, James Scott, discipleship, outreach, encouragement and worship are not just the foundations of The Exchange, but a daily way of life, driven by his deep love for The Lord. He is passionate about igniting a movement of awakening that will save the lost, heal the broken, encourage, and empower believers to make disciples that make more disciples. James believes in enjoying life in Christ and displaying the Joy of The Lord. Through his witty sense of humor and easy-going, magnetic personality, he wants others to see that living a life in Christ can really be an enjoyable journey.
Pastor James also ignites the movement of awakening through his music ministry as calling hearts to worship and always endeavoring to demonstrate the love and power of God wherever he goes.
Along with serving at The Exchange, Pastor James and his wife, Tara are the founders and operators of Freedom Within Walls, a non profit organization that fights childhood hunger and executes programming that repairs, cultivates, and uplifts those in challenging situations and circumstances by providing mentoring, nutritional, recreational, and educational programs and opportunities throughout the community.
During their twenty years of marriage, James and Tara have been blessed to travel nationally and internationally serving in ministry together in churches, throughout the community, and various other stages and arenas. Their heart for people and desire to serve, proceeds their public ministries. Minus the microphone and a stage, they are simply people after God’s heart...determined to see the glory of God evident through the work of Jesus Christ in their lives. They and their three children, Jaidyn, Joshua and Journey are honored to lead the charge given by God for The Exchange.
